Bellingen Golf Club 5th November 2018

Wednesday 31st - the Chook Run this week was won by M Summerill with 20 points on a C/B from P Bonventi.  Bruce Mitchell won the NTP.  In the afternoon the Short Course challenged 21 players.  Top of the tree was Daniel Glanville with a nett score of 22.7 over Ted Willit’s 23.4.  Josh Ludwig and Lincoln Head won the target hole prizes - all vouchers are in the box behind the bar.
Thursday 1st - 13 Medley players elected to have a social Multiplier 9-hole game rather than a comp on the recently cored Greens.  The winning team was Marg Girdwood and Linda Hillman with a deft 37 points.  Karen Wilson rued the call for a non-comp game with a marvellous individual Stableford score of 22 points!  No NTPs.  Next week we start at 8am, all welcome.  Later in the day the Seniors braved the heat, Rowan Hickson triumphant with 28 points on a C/B over Stan McCabe.  Balls went to Ross Williams and Tony Brown.  NTPs were won by Tony Brown (2) and Ross Williams.
Saturday 3rd - Maurie Tate was this week’s kind sponsor of a Single Stableford and despite the recent work on the Greens the scores were astonishing!  A Grade winner was Bruce Mitchell with 41 points over Col Osland’s 39.  B Grade went even better - Tony Brown smashing it with 45 points over Craig McMahon, who with 44 points would have easily expected a win on any other day. You needed 39 points for a ball - this included Maurie Tate, Nigel Laverne and Darcy McGlashan.  NTPs went to Mick Raymond, Dom Kelly, Nick Jenkins, Bruce Mitchell and Bob Stockton.  Next week it’s the Monthly Medal, which Terry Khan has kindly offered to sponsor.
Captain’s Log - as you are aware the Club is in a transitional stage at the moment - a newish Captain, a new Manager.  We are still learning the ropes and we have also had some ill-health in the office. Thank you for your patience with us - we will endeavour to be running like a well-oiled machine soon!
