Wednesday 31st - a modest field for the Chook Run this week with Ted Callander winning on 19 points over Phil Ireland on 18 after a C/B. Michael Bleakley took the only NTP. The Short Course continues to be popular in the afternoon and this week’s winner was David Bruce with a nett 24.2 over Ian Ridgewell with 24.8. Ian also scored one target hole, the other going to Brad Giffin.
Thursday 1st - a chilly start for the 9 Hole Medley, where Roz Hemsley returned to the winner’s podium with a fine 20 points over Maggie Oliver. No NTPs this week. In the afternoon the Seniors staged their 12 Hole Stableford, where Warwick Knight was triumphant with 26 points over Ross Williams with 24 on a C/B. Balls went to Graeme O’Connor, John Lavis, Les Howes and Jim Ginis. NTPs went to Terry Khan, Rowan Hickson and Warwick Knight.
Saturday 3rd - the qualifying round of the Keno NSW Men’s and Ladies’ Fourball championships for 2018 saw cold and wet conditions (in February!!). Bellingen Cellars were the kind sponsors of the day. Top of the Pops for the Men were Paul Lazarus and Tom Munnelly with a combined 50 points (+6) over the R/U team Stan McCabe and Ross Williams. Winners for the Ladies were Roz Hemsley and Ruth Hall with a combined 40 points (+3) over slightly less competition. Balls went to individual scores of 37 on a C/B and included Glenn Jones, John Lavis, Tom Munnelly, Jayden Taylor, Ross Williams, Nigel Laverton and Ruth Hall. NTPs were bagged by Tom Munnelly, Ruth Hall, Roz Hemsley, Tony Brown, Mike Raymond and Jonesy.
