Thursday 29th - Kerry Shearer was this week’s victor in the 9 hole Medley with a fine 20 points over R/U Linda Hillman. Nev Farrar bagged one NTP and went on for a birdie. There was a dead heat for the second NTP (measured twice!) so both Marg Girdwood and Ruth Hall took a prize. Next week’s cards will be by the Club entrance if you want to start early. In the afternoon there were 11 starters for the Seniors’ 12 hole Stroke comp. Stan McCabe was the winner with nett 45 over R/U Graeme O’Connor’s nett 49 on a 3-way C/B. B Grade was well and truly cowed by winner Peter Lawrance’s 44 points over R/U and playing partner John Molloy on 40. Well done both! NTPs went to Ross Williams (3), Peter Lawrance, Merv Brownlee and visitor Allan Hinchcliffe from Fredericton. Next week it’s the Monthly Medal sponsored by Yamaha.
