Tuesday 20th - 59 MNC Veterans played a single Stableford at Bellingen in good conditions.  The winner was Chris Smith with 39 points from N Thomas,  D Hurley and Bob Stockton, all on 38.  Bruce Wallace picked up both NTPs with very nice shots.
Wednesday 21st - 13 for the Chook Run, won again by Bruce Mitchell with 22 points over W King’s 21. Brad Stevens won the NTP.  Later in the day only a small field for the Short Course.  Brett Sheather topped the table with a gross 29 (nett 19.7!) and one Target hole, his handicap is sure to topple!  Greg Kenny was the R/U with a nett 27 plus the other Target hole.
Thursday 22nd - a split start for the 9 hole Medley - early players had the rain, the later group was hot and muggy!  Neville Farrar won the day with 16 points over Marg Girdwood’s 15.  Robbie Farrar took the only NTP.  Another small field for the Seniors’ 12 hole comp saw Les Howes winning with 22 Stableford points on a C/B with John Lavis. NTPs went to Mike Edsall and John Lavis.
Saturday 24th - a glorious day for a 2BBB sponsored kindly by Office Choice and the early morning players produced the best scores; Merv Brownlee and Col McLellan with a combined 46 points on a C/B over their playing partners Warwick Knight and Mike Edsall.  It couldn’t really have been much closer!  NTPs were won by Col Osland, J.T (2), Trevor Wilson-Brown, D Mattacott and Greg Hawke.  Individual scores winning balls included Craig Warman, Col Osland, Craig McMahon, Lincoln Head, Rod Teasel, Nev Farrar, Toby Cuthel and Trevor Wilson-Brown.
Captain’s Log - slow play really is the curse of golf, please remember it is the responsibility of the player with the lowest handicap to ensure his/her group keeps up with the group in front.  Finally, make sure you get your name on the list for our Presentation Dinner on Friday 7th December.  A two course meal, entertainment and prize-giving, all for just $25 per head, partners welcome.  Please pay at the office before 3rd December so we can cater for numbers.  Many thanks and happy golfing!
