Wednesday 18th - Nick Jenkins won this week’s Chook Run with 22 points over R/U Ross Williams on 21. No NTPs recorded.
Thursday 19th - a crisp and chilly morning for the Medley 18 hole Stableford - glorious golfing weather! 12 players vied for the prize and it was tight at the top, Ruth Hall winning with 37 points on a C/B from R/U Linda Hillman.  NTPs were nabbed by Maggie Oliver, Roz Hemsley and Gillian Anderson.  Shortly afterwards, 15 Seniors took to the fairways for a 12 hole Stableford comp.  The winner again this week was Stan McCabe with 25 points over R/U Warwick Knight’s 24. Balls went to 22 points and included Mike Edsall, Ross Williams, Col McLellan, Jim Ginis and Mike Summerill. NTPs went to Jim Ginis (2) and Warwick Knight, with both going on to score a birdie.
Saturday 21st - 33 starters for a Single Stableford sponsored by the Club.  A Grade champ was Rob Crawford with a fine 40 points over R/U Ruth Hall on 38.  B Grade was taken by Brian Woollard with 38 points, just beating Doug Lowe on 37. NTPs were collected by John Kyle, Richard Raward, Woolly, Col Hoskins, Nick Jenkins and Kiwi, and the ball run went to 37, rewarding Dave Mayo, Craig Warman, Paul Lazarus, Jenko and Tom Munnelly.
Sunday 22nd - a compact field for this year’s Mixed Foursomes Championships with the teams fighting it out over 27 holes.  Gross winners were the defending champions Nick Jenkins and Ruth Hall with 128 strokes over R/U team Jayden Taylor and Kerry Shearer with 133.  Nett winners were Greg Hawke and Maggie Oliver with a fine 101.5 over R/U team Stan McCabe and Vilma Neill with 110.5.  Thank you very much to the social players who let the teams through, much appreciated.
Captain’s Log - last week’s reported Monthly Medal result for B Grade was incorrect - many apologies to Bruce Mitchell who bested Maurie Tate to get B Grade R/U and the lowest gross, luckily no prizes had been given out.  On Sunday 29th we are having a working bee to help maintain the course - volunteers are welcome, please come at 9am.  In the meantime, if you see divots please fill them, and use your pitch mark repairers on the greens!
