Bellingen Golf Club 12th November 2018
Wednesday 7th - only six players in this week’s Chook Run and the winner was M Summerill with a worthy 21 points. The Short Course was more popular in the afternoon; Lincoln Head winning with a fine nett 23.34.
Thursday 8th - too wet in the morning for the 9 hole Medley, but the Seniors were luckier and played after the storm passed over. Ross Williams had a crackerjack day - the winner with 25 points and all three NTPs! Well done Ross!
Saturday 10th - the Monthly Medal for November, sponsored kindly by Tom Munnelly at Ryco 24-7. Again there were some great scores. A Grade was won by a visitor from Fairbairne Canberra, Allan Wiebe, with a showstopping gross 74, nett 64. R/U was Justin Alford with nett 67. B Grade winner was Tony Brown, another fantastic day for him, winning gross and nett with 85/63 over R/U Lincoln Head’s nett 65. C Grade champion was Darcy McGlashan with 89/65 over R/U Karen Wilson’s nett 70. The Monthly Mug was richly deserved by Tony Brown, and the putting comp went to Craig McMahon with a miserly 26. NTPs were won by Trevor Wilson-Brown (2), Gavin Brown, Sue Wilson-Brown, Matt Clarke and Col Osland. Balls went to 70 on a C/B and included Matt Clarke, TWB, Shane Heffernan and Karen Wilson. Next week it’s a Single Stableford sponsored by APIA Insurance.
Captain’s Log - don’t forget the forthcoming Builders’ Picnic day, Monday 3rd December, a 4 Person Ambrose sponsored by Geoff Johnson - should be a heap of fun.
