Bellingen Golf Club 12th March 2018
A wet week in Bellingen led to very small fields and some comps rained off completely. A lucky few managed to dodge the raindrops.
Wednesday 7th - visitor Bruce Trimbie was the winner of the Chook Run with 17 points, no NTPs recorded. In the afternoon the Short Course challenge was topped by Greg Kenny with a nett 27.6. This year’s Short Course Final takes place on Wednesday 21st March where there will be extra prizes to give out, and a special prize for the winner of winners. Get practicing those chips!
Thursday 8th - the morning Medley was a complete washout, but a few Seniors managed their 12 hole comp later in the day. Mike Edsall was the winner with 22 points on a count back. Col Hoskins won every single NTP!
Saturday 10th - The Burley Brushhook challenge, sponsored by Brian Woollard and Jamie Burley. A Grade champ was Col Osland with 36 on a C/B over Gavin Brown. B Grade, and the Best score of the day was taken by the sponsor Brian Woollard over Tom Munnelly. NTPs went to Richard Raward, Glenn Jones, Tom Munnelly , Mike Edsall, Gavin Brown (winning his own prize) and Merv Brownlee. Balls went to Col Hoskins, Paul Lazarus, Rod Teasel, John Molloy and Peter Lawrance.
Shake off those brollies and we’ll see you next week.
