Wednesday 27th - T Cuthel was top of the pops in this week's Chook Run with a very fine 25 points over N Farrar with 23. Karen Wilson and H Johnson also won birds, both with 22 on a C/B. NTP went to P Ireland. The arrival of daylight saving can only mean one thing - the Short Course resumes on 4th October for those keen to fit in a quick round after work. The Chook Run will continue, but please play slightly earlier in the day.
Thursday 28th - 13 players in this week's Medley and Jan Monico had another cracking round, winning with 24 points over Penny North on 22. Somebody have a word with the handicapper, please...! NTPs went to R Jordan and D Brennan. Later in the afternoon the Seniors were dominated by B Mitchell who won the stroke round with a nett 39 and two NTPs. R/U was C McLellan with 41. Balls went to R Williams, T Brown, J Rose and G O'Conner, who also took the remaining NTP. On Wednesday 11th October Bellingen is hosting the Vets Open Day - booking sheet at the bar.
Saturday 30th - a Single Stableford sponsored kindly by House of Golf and Steve Bishop. A Grade supremo was our esteemed Cap'n Smithy with 42 points over S Carr on 41. Scores were also high in B Grade, where R Raward was victorious with 43 points over S Heffernan on 42. Balls went to 39 on a C/B and included T Locke, B Baigent, B Mitchell, Woolly, P Lazarus, K Michelson and C McLellan. NTPs were bagged by D Saunders, Oz, K Michelson, Jenko and T Brown. Please note the greens renovation programme is due to start shortly - any volunteers would be very welcome. Next week is the Monthly Medal sponsored by S Turich.
